Burton Energy Group is proud to announce that it has won the esteemed ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for Sustained Excellence! This is the fifth year in a row that Burton has been named Partner of the Year for Service Providers, and the third consecutive win for Sustained Excellence, which is the most prestigious award category. We will receive the award on behalf of all of our clients and employees in a ceremony in Washington, DC, on Wednesday April 26th.
“As an energy consulting company, the ENERGY STAR program provides the foundation for what we do regarding energy conservation and efficiency,” said Doug Latulippe, Director of Project Management at Burton Energy Group. “It delivers the tools, resources and strategies for a comprehensive and successful energy program. I have personally used the ENERGY STAR guidelines along with their step-by-step road map for continuous improvement to educate Fortune 500 clients, state energy agencies and elementary school classes on industry best practices for energy efficiency improvement. As the most recognized energy program in the United States, it is an honor to be named again as a Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence. We look forward to continued success with the EPA and ENERGY STAR delivering energy conservation and environmental stewardship for many years to come.”
Among the specific reasons cited by the EPA and the ENERGY STAR Program for recognizing Burton with this award for accomplishments in 2016 are:
- Benchmarking 2,200+ buildings in ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager. This tool is the benchmarking standard not only for ENERGY STAR ratings but for compliance with local and state benchmarking ordinances. Find out more about our ENERGY STAR and Benchmarking Services.
- Earning first-time ENERGY STAR Certification for 129 buildings and assisted in 126 buildings obtaining ENERGY STAR Re-Certification.
- Leveraging ENERGY STAR messaging and tools to nearly a dozen new clients as well as existing.
- Expanding our Retro-Commissioning (RCx) service offering to provide our clients with low and no-cost options for energy efficiency improvements. Learn more about RCx from this previous blog post.
