Many utilities across the United States offer energy efficiency programs to small businesses, which help make energy efficiency programs more affordable. In many cases the term “small business” is used only to define the energy usage of a space. Therefore, there are small business programs where Burton has helped some of the U.S.’s largest companies leverage. For instance, ComEd, the largest utility in Illinois, has a very comprehensive program that offers incentives to help businesses improve lighting, HVAC, refrigeration and more.

As an approved service provider, Burton Energy Group has helped capture over $10 million in rebates for ComEd’s SBO incentive program in the Greater Chicago area. Incentives routinely range from $10k to $40k per location for qualified facilities that use <100kW.

ComEd’s SBO program has an extensive list of available energy efficiency incentives. This includes some of the highest available HVAC and LED lighting incentives in the country. HVAC early replacement rebates are presently up to $700/ton and the LED lighting rebates range from $0.75-$0.85 per watt saved.

If you want to learn how to take advantage of ComEd’s incentive program for your facilities, please contact Burton Energy Group to learn more about the program details and requirements.
