Burton’s experience in utility incentives, restaurant operations, and HVAC replacement all intersected when a large client with over 2,200 restaurants mentioned they were replacing HVAC units at their restaurants in the Chicago market.  We quickly inquired about the incentives they were receiving for the units and their response was, “What incentives?”.

Knowing there were significant dollars on the line, Burton quickly began working with the HVAC manufacturer to ensure the new units would meet utility efficiency requirements, as well as coordinated with the installers to confirm installation timing met the utility program requirements. With these ducks in a row, Burton, as an authorized Service Provider for the ComEd® Energy Efficiency Program Small Business offering, was able to quickly secure pre-approval for the enhanced HVAC units.

As the client had already budgeted the full cost of replacement, the utility incentives Burton secured were an unanticipated windfall for their team. This enabled them to allocate some of this newfound capital for future projects with Burton, which will further drive expense reduction.
