The 2015 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony was held at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington D.C on April 20, 2015.

In celebration of Earth Day and the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award winners, the U.S. EPA held a volunteer day for participating companies on Tuesday April 21, 2015. We rolled up our sleeves along with about 15 fellow volunteers to remove invasive plant species in the historic Dumbarton Oaks Park located in the Georgetown neighborhood of northwest D.C.
In 2015, Burton Energy Group partnered with Clark Creek Elementary School – a STEM Academy (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) located in Acworth, GA. Some of the activities Burton was involved with included a career day for engineers and a Georgia STEM Day. When visiting the school, we noticed how similar their STEM Engineering and Design Loop (used by the school to help students become independent problem-solvers and provide skills necessary for STEM challenges) was to the ENERGY STAR Guidelines for Energy Management process loop! We showed the students the ENERGY STAR process loop and discussed how the US EPA’s ENERGY STAR program is a large component of our everyday business!
