The Burton team joined Landmark Restorations on Thursday, December 20th for the annual PB&J Day sandwich making event. It was “all hands on deck” to put together PB&J sandwiches for several Atlanta homeless shelters. We all had a GREAT time laughing, chatting and listening to the DJ spin some Christmas tunes and oldies from the hairband days.

We worked at such warp speed that we ran OUT of bread!! So the Landmark van was sent to the closest Publix to buy out all they had (the manager had no idea what hit him!) Once all the jelly and bread was gone, we had made a total of 7,360. That’s 7,360 sandwiches made, bagged, boxed and ready to deliver to shelters around the city.

When Frank Thomas of Landmark added the fruits of our day of labor to those made by other volunteers the day before, the grand total came to a whopping 18,460 sandwiches!

If you weren’t able to join us, don’t worry – you can STILL help! We are still working to raise monetary donations for the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB).  We have set up a donations website with a goal of raising  $5000 for the Food Bank. We are well on our way, but we need YOUR help to reach our goal. Visit the site via the link below.
