On Friday, August 14, 2015 many members of the Burton Family traded in their laptops for aprons and spatulas. The team grilled burgers, brats, and chicken for the families who are currently staying in the local Atlanta Ronald McDonald House named “The Gatewood House”. The Gatewood House is located near Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. It is a home away from home who families who must travel to Atlanta so their seriously ill or injured children can receive the medical attention they need.
In addition to the burgers, pasta salad, baked beans were washed down with banana splits with all the fixings. Our manager of energy supply and risk management Kay Kern provided the leadership in the kitchen and advanced planning to pull off a really special event. Her hard work made the evening a smashing success. All attendees were asking when the next Burton dinner at The Gatewood House would be!!
